This is a great holiday drink. It's bright, festive, and impressive. The cranberry syrup is a perfect addition to the simplicity of gin and soda. I prefer gin over vodka because I find that it doesn't taste as strongly as vodka does, and I also find that cheap gin is less noticeable than cheap vodka, haha. I gave this to gin and non-gin drinkers alike, and everyone seemed to like the drink very much. It's sweet, but not overwhelmingly so by any means, and the extra cranberries in the syrup pop in your mouth when you bite down on one. The whole drink is pretty simple to make, too, and you can make the syrup a day or two in advance. It's great to have in a pitcher for a party or a small get together. Recipe after the cut or on my blog at The Crepes of Wrath.

One of the easiest cake recipes I've ever tried, it doesn't look like much but it's like moist buttery heaven in your mouth.

The first seasoning is one that we used on Prime Rib Roast (primarily) and other meats in a restaurant that I worked at. We would liberally coat the roast with the following:

Equal amounts of

Lawry's or your favorite Seasoned Salt
Granulated Garlic
Coarse ground Black Pepper

We would then let this set before placing in a covered roasting pan with a little water in the bottom and roasting at about 325 to desired doneness.
If done right, it should look like a heavy blanket over the top of the roast and very crusty to the touch.

The second seasoning was also from a restaurant for pizza

It also used equal amounts of

Lawry's or your favorite Seasoned Salt
Granulated Garlic
Parmesan, Asiago, Romano grated cheese

This was combined and then shaken over the top of the fully cooked pizza just prior to sending it out. Adds plenty of flavor

I needed a dish to bring to a neighborhood party and decided to play around with a favorite recipe.

Who doesn't love baked goods that feature apples? I know I do, and it's definitely Kramer's favorite kind of treat next to something made with peanut butter. The only problem is that I'm lazy and I hate having to make crusts and doughs and that kind of thing that you have to roll out or let rise. So sue me! I'm busy. That's why I love these apple streusel bars. You get all of the delicious, caramely apple-pie flavor without all the work. I added some toffee bits in with the apple mixture, too, and they got all melty and delicious. These will make you think of happy holiday memories, and the time that it takes to make these is nothing compared to a pie or a turnover or something like that. The streusel crumb topping really brings it all together, and the icing drizzled on top takes it all home for me. Go ahead and make this for your next holiday gathering, or just the next time you want something sweet. It's really easy and I bet you already have everything you need in the cupboard. I made these as xmas gifts for co-workers and friends and they went down REALLY well. They're just the right bite size and the icing sugar makes them look nice and Christmas-like. More at my food comic, a wishful pantry.

I've entered the final stretch with my christmas baking and crafting so I thought I'd take the time to make something just for myself to eat! Edible glitter has made my life complete. It's fantastic!  I also found a bag of mini candycanes and needed something to do with them so I decided to combine them with cupcakes.  I made a mixture of chocolate and vanilla cakes.  The vanilla are iced with buttercream, festive sprinkles and edible glitter and the chocolate are iced with mint fondant icing, sprinkles and a candycane in the centre.  Recipes over at AnnaintheKitchen

This actually is the best banana bread you will ever taste. I'm serious. Whichever minion of Martha's came up with it deserves a nice firm handshake and a cigar. Or something. Anyways, this is the moistest (moistest?) banana bread you will taste. It keeps really well, although I don't think you'll have to worry about that.
